With UFC 100 fast approaching, I’m curious to see what matches everyone is looking forward to the most. You’ve got the big 3 headliners (Lesnar vs. Mir; St. Pierre vs. Alves; Henderson vs. Bisping). Then you have a stacked undercard as well. If you could select one of the big three fights that you’re most looking forward to and one of the other eight undercard fights, what would be your two most anticipated matchups? Personally, I can’t wait to see Henderson vs. Bisping, and it has nothing to do with their appearance as coaches on TUF. From the undercard bouts I’m most interested in seeing how Yoshihiro Akiyama makes the transition to the UFC against a very talented fighter in Alan Belcher. Jon Jones against Jake O’Brien is not far behind on that list, though. What are your thoughts. Which of the big three fights and which of the undercard fights are you most looking forward to?

“I could be underestimating him massively but when I watch him I donâ??t see a problem for me there to be honest. If I go out and fight the way I know I can fight then I know I can beat him. Dan Henderson may be one of the best wresters out there but Iâ??ve learned how to deal with those guys. I wrestle every day, day in day out.
“If people take me down - and I have showed this when I have fought wrestlers - I get straight back up, every time. I know how to get back up. I realised a long time ago that, coming from England we donâ??t have the high school wrestling, I might get outwrestled a lot. So every time I sparred I started on my back. Now I am virtually impossible to hold down.”
Michael Bisping Speaks on Dan Henderson at UFC 100

Former top middleweight contenders and current UFC welterweight standouts Mike Swick (14-2) and Martin Kampmann (15-2) are in talks to hook ‘em up in a fantastic 170-pound showdown at UFC 103 in Dallas, Texas, on Sept. 26, according to sources close to both camps.
Swick has pushed his undefeated mark in the welterweight division to 4-0 after a â??quickâ? technical knockout of Ben Saunders at UFC 99: “The Comebackâ? on June 13.
It was the second straight stoppage for the American Kickboxing Academy product and a strong argument for his place among the next in line for the 170-pound strap.
Perhaps a win over Kampmann infront of a friendly hometown crown may be the final stepping stone.
“The Hitman” last competed at UFC Fight Night 18: â??Condit vs. Kampmann,â? spoiling the Octagon debut of World Extreme Cagefighting (WEC) Welterweight Champion and top-ranked 170-pound fighter Carlos Condit. He defeated Alexandre Barros via second round technical knockout at UFC 93: “Franklin vs. Henderson” in his 170-pound debut earlier this year.
Prior to the back-to-back wins, Kampmann had his nine-fight win streak snapped after getting wrecked by Nate Marquardt in short order via bruising first round technical knockout at UFC 88: â??Breakthroughâ? back in September 2008. It was apparently a wake up call for the Danish kickboxer that perhaps he is better suited to compete in a division 15 pounds lighter.
This will marked the third time that Kampmann competes at 170 pounds. And if he is able to perform well like he did on April 1, he could be facing even more top competition in the category sooner rather than later.

IFL veteran and world-famous rope-grabber Chris Horodecki has unwittingly agreed to face badass teen idol Lester Caslow at Ring of Combat 26, with the “Polish Hammer” apparently unaware that ROC fights take place in a cage and that there will be no ropes to grab. A striker with zero takedown defense other than clinging to ropes, cornermen or a referee’s pants leg for dear life, Horodecki is certainly in for an unpleasant surprise. Not only is the Kurt Pellegrino-trained Caslow a capable fighter both on the feet and on the ground, and smart enough to exploit Horodecki’s grappling weakness, but gravity and a lack of ropes make a trip to the canvas a sure thing. For the Xtreme Couture representative, a submission or TKO loss seems inevitable.
ROC 26 is slated for September 11th at the Tropicana Casino & Resort in Atlantic City, and will also feature the returns of Deividas Taurosevicius and Chris Liguori.
Strikeforce’s most recent “Challengers Series” card, headlined by a
welterweight clash between Joe Villasenor and Evangelista “Cyborg”
Santos, drew 2,836 attendees to ShoMart Center in Kent, Wash., for a
live gate of $85,805.
MMAjunkie.com recently requested and today received the official
figures for the June 19 event from the Washington State Department of
Licensing.
The report did not state how many, if any, of the tickets were issued complimentary.
Eight-year veteran and “The Ultimate Fighter 4″ competitor Jorge Rivera (16-7 MMA, 5-5 UFC) recently signed a
new four-fight contract with the UFC, according to a new report from
the Boston Herald.
Rivera’s April split-decision win over Nissen Osterneck, his 10th for the UFC, completed his prior contract.
The 37-year-old has been rehabbing an injured left shoulder since the April win.

In the weeks leading to up to his Saturday night bout with Randy Hedderick at “Ultimate Chaos” in Biloxi, Miss., Affliction vice president Tom Atencio had said his second professional MMA contest would also be his last.
After being visibly rocked and dropped to the canvas early in the bout, Atencio probably wished he had stopped with just one.
But after battling back to earn a TKO win at the close of the second round, Atencio told MMAjunkie.com Radio that he hasn’t ruled out another trip to the cage.
Following his brutal knockout of Pedro Rizzo this past weekend at “Ultimate Chaos,” Gilbert Yvel (36-13-1) has secured a spot on the Aug. 1 “Affliction: Trilogy” card, where he’ll meet fellow heavyweight Paul Buentello (27-10).
Prior to “Ultimate Chaos,” Affliction Vice President Tom Atencio said the Yvel vs. Rizzo winner would likely take the spot that opened when Tim Sylvia was pulled from the card following a recent eight-second loss to Ray Mercer at Adrenaline MMA III.
On today’s edition of MMAjunkie.com Radio, Atencio said the Buentello vs. Yvel matchup is set - and that preliminary-card fighter Brett Cooper will be pulled from the lineup.
